Date: 2012-12-30 09:24 am (UTC)And...I know I missed out on the prompting period this year (I was so busy during it), but...if I could perhaps request a sequel to this fic, with Clint taking care of a still-trying-to-work Coulson once they get home (I can totally see Coulson trying to convince himself--and Clint--that he's feeling better, even as he shivers under his suit jacket)...if I could put that in as, like, a pre-request for whenever the next time is that you take them...uh, yeah. *blushes*

I didn't think I'd like the pairing so much, but I definitely fell in love with these boys and started reading When You Come 'Round Again last night (I do love my boys hurt and angsty *G*). So it means a lot that someone who likes this pairing thought my first attempt was all right. I'm not sure I have the hang of Phil's voice yet (or Clint's, for that matter) which is why it wasn't heavy with dialogue and all Phil needed to do was sneeze through the whole thing anyway, poor baby *EG* But practice makes perfect! More writing will definitely be in store. Thank you for the feedback!

Date: 2012-12-31 05:07 am (UTC)And gah! Suit porn! And kisses! And all around adorableness! I think I read this thing two or three times before I went to bed last night telling myself I needed to settle down before I would be able to write you a coherent comment.
I think my favorite part was this:
“Mmmm.” Coulson leans back, finding himself in not just a warm blanket but Clint’s strong arms. “But I’ve got to get going. I have a meeting with a prime minister and a call with Fury and… ahhh…”
“And more sneezing to do?”
He nods, cups his hand to his face again. “ahhhh-HIKKTShhhh!” He groans. “I’ve gotta get up.”
Clint pulls himself out of bed instead. “Stay put. Rest. I’ll get your clothes.”
“I can’t show up wearing tight leather pants and a sleeveless… ahhh…”
Clint turns. “Jeez, Coulson. You have to sneeze again?”
“ahhh-Higgtshhhh! Uhh… Sniff! A simple ‘bless you’ would have sufficed.”
Guh. *isdead* And then the part with Coulson not thinking he could wear Clint's outfit. And did I mention the adorableness and cuddling and kissing and suit porn? I am very, very happy and very, very grateful. Thank you very much!

Date: 2012-12-31 05:47 am (UTC)This is the first time I've used the "can't get going this morning" line in a fic and it sort of helped inspire the fic... as did the suit porn, obviously. I figured it would be too easy to do an undressing scene... and it's kind of more intimate to dress someone anyway--they've got to look good afterward, after all :-) So kind of the opposite of an undressing, but I think it worked all right in the end *G* Poor Phil all weak and sneezy.
I'm so happy you liked the part you quoted. I really liked that "Jeez, Coulson. You have to sneeze again?" line and the "A simple bless you would have sufficed line." I thought they sounded very THEM. But I also really liked the image of Phil leaning back into a hugeass comforter and Clint's arms as he sits on the bed, unable to get up. That was my favorite image in the whole fic. So squee! And now I'm picturing Coulson in Hawkeye's outfit and LMAO. Oh, Coulson, I adore you, but... mmm... no, baby. Just no. LOL Clint in a suit, however... now that could get fun. And he would not be well pleased. Hmmm. I'm going to have to think up a formal occasion for him to attend. Bwahahahaha!
Anyway, yeah, I adore the pairing. Thanks for turning me on to them!
