Summary: When Clint Barton shows up unannounced on Phil Coulson’s doorstep, Coulson is forced to change his vacation plans. So when a simple mission to assess and acquire an object of unknown origin comes up, he figures there’s no reason he should turn that down. Naturally, things are never as simple as they seem.
Author’s Notes: Written for NaNoWriMo 2014 all in one month (a first for me!). This story is finished but will be posted in pieces. Total word count: 73,274.

Thank you to everyone who read this! It was such fun to write, and it was exciting to finally get to share it with you. I hope it was a fun read. Thank you to those of you who supported me throughout last November and who waited patiently for me to get a chance to edit this. Thank you for those of you STILL waiting on giftfics from me (I swear, they're coming soon). I actually edited/added a tiny bit as I went along, so the final word count should be: 73,479 (but I'm not going back through all these parts to change that in all the headers).
This story contains nods to a lot of time loop stories in fiction as tributes, because I love the concept and their executions of it. This is nowere near as epic as what has come before it in that "genre"... but it's fun and it's got sneezing ;-) Seriously, every time I wasn't sure what to do next, I just made Clint sneeze a bunch until I figured out where to go with that. Of course, I made him sneeze on purpose as well. Build-ups are great for helping pad your word count during NaNoWriMo. LOL
I wouldn't have been able to have written this without: the company of fellow writers at local NaNoWriMo write-ins (including several people who read this journal) even though that stampeeding elephant was entirely the fault of those people; the writer at my first write-in on November 1, 2014 who had a tall, metal thermos that was the visual inspiration for the 0-8-4; the artist who created this amazing image because I kept it open next to my fic and used it as inspiration many times; Coulson & Clint of the MCU and Fraction's Hawkeye because the characters were such fun to play with for a month.
I really do hope you had fun reading :-) If you don't have time to comment on every chapter, I more than understand, but I'd love to hear what your favorite moment/scene was. Thanks for reading! *hugs*
