Someone on list: I'm sending this e-mail to warn you about an awful story on the fanfiction website. Today I was looking to read a nice fanfic about narnia and got more than I bargained for. very blindly and stupidly I clicked on the first story that came up, one entitled "To the End of the World and Back" or something like that. DO NOT CLICK ON THAT STORY. IT IS AN AWFUL PERVERSION OF PRINCE CASPIAN'S FRIENDSHIP WITH PETER WITH NO MORALS.
Me: *No morals? YUM! heehee! Uses google & yahoo to try to find story*
Someone else on list: thanks for informing me about this.. that really is awful..
Me: *Totally unable to find story. Now REALLY wants to read it!*
List: *is quiet*
Me: (hoping it sounds innocent enough) Which fanfiction site?
A third list member: Sadly, stories like that are all too common now on fanfiction sites :'(
Me: *Tries thelionscall and fanfic.net, still can't find story that is starting to sound even better the longer I wait and the more people insult it*
List moderator: If you're interested in reading some really good fics, you should browse The Lion's Call fanfiction directory and look for the stories marked as winners of a Lion Award. It's our annual award for fanfiction, going on three years now.
Me: *cries. But I don't WANT to read really good fics. I want to read immoral, smutty fics! Immediately gives up and goes searching for other fics...*
