2. Skydive
That sounds SO much scarier than bungee-jumping!
1. Australia
If you came over, I'd give you a tour *g*
5. Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon
Me too! I even hve a copy on my computer, but I've never gotten around to watching it.
1. I like when characters give each other cute nicknames, damnit!
The arrogance/clique-y-ness of fandoms really, really bugs me.

LMAO! Could be! I started eating it out of the cats' dishes before my parents could stop me, one day. I don't think my parents let me crawl around unchecked after that. LOL The cats were just confused, I'm told.
2. Skydive

I want to jump tandum... is that how it's spelled? Buddy-jump, basically. Strapped in with a trained professional so I don't panic if something goes wrong. With bungee-jumping I'm terrified I'll hit a rock or the bridge or something I'm not supposed to hit... and if I hate it the first time down and up, I've still got a number of down-and-ups until it's over. WAY too scary for me! At least I go down with something to slow me down(parachute). I don't like going fast.

Oohhhh how very tempting!!! heehee Now I just need, oh, money. And time. Neither of which I'm remotely close to having. *sigh*
5. Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon

There are so many movies I really, really want to see but never seem to get around to it. LOL I've had movies on my comp and not watched them :-)

In some cases, I can see when it's needed. Like in Role-Playing games where there's a certain acceptable style and tone that needs to be followed. Or where people are tired of people re-asking questions that are clearly in the FAQ. But definitely one of the reasons I lurk is because I don't want to get involved with some of the power struggles and preachiness that happens within them. *sigh*

Date: 2004-04-14 12:32 am (UTC)Oohhh so jealous of you I am! I love the cold... though I probably wouldn't be able to handle such an extreme all the time. I'll certainly have to make a note to visit in the winter- thank you :-)
As for where I get things like this... I go to random journals using this url: http://www.livejournal.com/random.bml
As they're strangers, I don't usually post where I get these things... because it really is random. Different when I do ones friends did first. But it's interesting some of the things you stumble upon by going to random LJs!

Date: 2004-04-14 01:55 am (UTC)Gah, how could you not want to see Butch Cassidy!? I love that movie! It's up there with Bonnie and Clyde as one of my fave robbery/gangster movies.
As for There's Something About Mary- Im a HUGE Ben Stiller fan and even though that's the movie that made him famous, it's way overrated.
And Die Hard- Even though I don't really understand why Alan Rickman is a British terrorist (Just like Gary Oldman's character in Air Force One is supposed to be Russian- you can still tell he's British) it's still classic Bruce Willis.

Date: 2004-04-15 02:29 pm (UTC)I won't say anything bad about Ben Stiller, but he's one of my least favorite actors. And I WOULD have put 'American Pie' in that slot but Boyfriend made me watch it after years of my refusing to see it. I wish I could blot that out of my mind now. I've luckily forgotten most of it since, but *shudder* I still remember bits.
Die Hard- eh, I don't like action movies all that much. But you know, I would torally watch that just for Alan. So, hrm... change it to Lethal Weapon or Bad Boys (whoops, no, because my Joey's in that, I'd sit through crap for my Joey)

Date: 2004-04-15 10:25 am (UTC)Um... you'd be a bachelor? LOL No, I really have no idea if that's a term used. Is there, vatergrrl?
We don't tend to even add letters for masters, let alone bachelors here in the states after names. It's sort of a pointless degree unless you're staying in academia(which I'm not)... or completely confused about the future and want to spend 2 years doing pointless work instead of getting out there in the real world(which I am)

Date: 2004-04-15 10:20 am (UTC)Thanks for replying for me, vatergrrl, I'm really behind on all that right now.
Though tis funny, a friend of mine is working towards her PhD(defending Monday, actually) and is teaching this semester. She was asking a bunch of us what she should have students call her. I totally wanted her to go with 'Mistress' but I think she just went with Mrs. Would have liked to see the reaction of students if she'd gone with Mistress. heehee

Date: 2004-04-15 03:18 pm (UTC)Too bad there's no pharmacist Master's degree, only Bachelors of Science in Pharmacy, and Doctor of Pharmacy...and I'm not handing my back my 'Doctor' title for anything, not after all I went through to get it. Besides, I like the connotations 'Dr.' has when I think about cuddling my sick fictional characters *G*
