I like my Remy and Siri. I don't care if people are sick to death of them, because I think they sound cute and it's puppy love for goodness sakes, it's supposed to be cute. And considering their names take a while to say... and Moony and Padfoot sound silly when someone's nose is stuffed up, I'm going to KEEP my Remy and Siri and tough to anyone who doesn't like them! There! Ha!
As such, I'm not even thinking of entering the new Sirius/Remus Fuh-Q-Fest. Plus the theme is all against canon (Black comes back from the dead) and I can't make my mind go there. Thus, I probably won't even read any of the stories. But I wouldn't want to read any of the stories anyway, without my cute, cuddley Remy and Siri. *snuggles the boys*

Date: 2004-04-13 08:23 pm (UTC)I was so looking forward to the second wave of the FQF... considering I couldn't work myself up to the bravery needed to enter the first time. But with all the snarky bickering about details like this in the subfandom lately *sigh*
Then again I've written practically every type of story that's been done to death already... so I'm probably not one who should be chiming in too much on discussions of things people are bored of as far as the pups go :-)

And TOUGH if people are bored by that. That's just the way I see and write them. I'm rather annoyed when they bring characteristics out of left field, really. Ah well.

My favorite part of the discussion is where someone mentions that angst is too cliche in R/S stories. Whoa. I mean, come on. One guy is a werewolf living in secret, who never had a friend until he was 11 and can't hold a job because of discrimination. The other comes from a horrible home and ended up putting trust in someone who murdered two of his friends and stuck him in Azkaban for over a decade, then he spends two years eating bugs and rats and living in a cave, and another in the house he hated, until he finally dies. Um. Yeah. Personally, I think angst is pretty much called for! LOL!
