Another Update
Sep. 4th, 2020 06:16 pmHugs & thanks for the feedback and kind words recently. They have been much appreciated. I still don't have a job, but I've been spending time every day taking classes, job hunting, and working on my skills.
To that end, I have never before build a responsive website from the ground up. So I'm practicing that on tarotgal's realm with a big redesign that more closely matches my blog style here. I learned a fun, new-to-me wireframe prototyping software tool to work out the basics. But when I went to build it, wow, I learned a heck of a lot trying to get divs to behave the way they're supposed to. Floating divs and I have never been friends, but I finally made a bit of peace with them with help from my new friend, clear. At any rate, I'm done with all the original fiction pages, but I still have all the fanfiction, the sounds pages, and all the other smaller pages. I had started putting the stories into a database, but I realized that was taking on too much at once. I no longer have Adobe software, as I can't afford that monthly subscription, so I'm using some free programs. There's a lot they can't do and there's a bit of a learning curve as I learn what they can't do. But they'll get me through.
I hope to relaunch it on September 23, which is TOS's birthday.
I still haven't forgotten the holiday stories. I have 4 left to post and 2.5 of those are written. So they're coming soon, I promise! I've been a bit distracted, what with the current state of the world and my having to borrow money so I'm not homeless. Sigh.
Anyway, just wanted to give you an update the good news.
On a fandom note, I binged Love, Victor and LOVED it! I just finished Person of Interest a few minutes ago and cried buckets. Follow http://thefangirlproject.com for more. I'm updating it 1-3 times a week.
