My sister is married. I'm still not quite over that.

Work is starting to get less yelly. In fact, it's been almost a whole week since I was last yelled at on social media. So that's definitely good, right?

I went to the Container store to buy two display cases for my LEGO MOCs (not entirely happy with the cases, but too late now). And ended up buying $130 shelving unit for my basement.

LEGO Minifig series 14 came out. I spent an hour in Target feeling packages. I got one of everything EXCEPT the banshee. I got home and found out I ended up with 3 ghosts and no banshee. Drat! And now they're all sold out everywhere. I might try the LEGO store tomorrow; they were supposed to get a new shipment in today.

My coworker's husband passed away a week ago. He had a kidney transplant last year, and has been battling complications since, on and off. I am heartbroken for my coworker and her two girls.

I had a good weekend. Went to [livejournal.com profile] melydia's house and hung out with my friends in a project party. I got quite a bit done and, more importantly, got to hang out with three of my favorite people. Then, on Sunday, I went to my first Sunday bookdrop volunteer shift. They closed one of my libraries for fixing, and so now I work two shifts at the other one. It was fun doing bookdrop for a few hours before the library is even open; I'm so used to trying to do it in 1 hour before the library opens. I'm not explaining how neat it was. I'll have to do a book blog post sometimes.

I took Monday off because I just needed a personal day to get my shit together. I watched some Hornblower. I got my car's oil changed (and transmission fluid changed... or whatever... goodbye, $250 I did NOT have!). And I did a whole lot of cleaning around the house including finally making a dent in my post-Brickfair mess that is my LEGO loft.

I watched Geography Club again last night. Man, I love that movie. Oh, also I got caught up in Doctor Who. And I just picked up SPN Season 10 in DVD from my PO box but haven't started watching it yet.

Today, I got a call at work from my mom. She had to put one of our cats to sleep. I'm so sad. Her heart issues finally caught up with her. She was a neighborhood stray we took in (2005 or 2006, I think?). She had something like 30 lives, not just the 9 lives cats usually have. But I hope we were able to make them all good for her. She was full of spunk and loved being on a warm lap. She was also the bravest of all our cats (though perhaps that's because she couldn't hear the vacuum cleaner, as she was deaf). I'll always think of her every time I knock something off a table.
