Post-Xanthe-fic Depression
Oct. 5th, 2010 12:36 amI'm totally in post-Xanthe-fic depression. It's a well-documented affliction, though I'm not sure that's the proper name for it. Soul Deep was just SO amazing. Everything I write seems so stupid and pointless now in comparison to something so beautifully crafted and thought out and edited.
Oh, and I'm definitely going to be doing gift fics this year. Haven't decided when I'll ask y'all for requests... but I'm thinking some time in November. There's a lot that I want to write for NaNoRebel and I don't want a whole mess of giftfics to get in the way. But, at the same time, I want to get a head start. So... maybe I'll ask in October so I'll have time to think about them a bit.
And I have a Christmas wish list of my own in mind as well ;-) And number 1 on the list is for a new Xanthe story. Because I can't get enough of 'em. As soon as I finish one, I want to let it set in, but I dive right into another. But now that I've read all the big ones... I just have to re-read them over and over again... which is why I bought three of theme in fanzine-novel format. *hugs Xanthe novels* Boy I hope Soul Deep is published as well. Want to own it!
(On a totally unrelated note, I watched the A-List tonight. HOLY COW that was awful in the most awesome way possible. Such a guilty pleasure. I was totally talking back to the TV. LOL Love it. And I hate that I love it. But I totally love it.)
