I'm trying to post an entry in at least one of my blogs every day this month for... what's it called? Blogtober?
AIDS Walk went really well. I don't have the photos downloaded yet, but I plan on doing that tomorrow. We raised about $800,000 and had more than 7,000 people show up. Which is fantastic, especially with this economy. Not to get completely political (though I bet y'all know I'm an uber liberal by now) but it's fantastic to have so many people supporting and donating to a clinic like Whitman-Walker, where people can get tested for free and get treatments they need in order to live. I want to thank those of you here who contributed. You'll be getting a special thank you from me soon (probably tomorrow afternoon).
I went to the LEGO store today and bought a set- the Winter Toy Shop. I look forward to adapting parts of it to my planned Christmas at Grimmauld Place MOC! God Rest Ye Merry Hippogriffs!
After that, I napped (MUCH needed!) and watched the Capitals game. We fell apart in the third but still won by a lot and there were some stunning moments. MAN I'm glad hockey is back on! I mean, I have MORE than enough to watch on TV, but I missed hockey so much.
I'm going to the zoo tomorrow to release the last of my animal challenge books that can be theme released at the zoo. This makes one zoo trip each weekend for the 4 past weekends. I think I'll be all zooed out after this, but I'm really glad I bought a membership and now it's definitely paid for itself :-)
I forgot to watch SNL tonight. Darnit! I'm watching the Changeling right now. I'm not in love with it, but I don't hate it.
