Just spent the last 5 hours helping my sister install MS updates, spyware blockers and MS Office on her new laptop. Then I helped her set up a MySpace. Gah. I don't like that website at ALL! So badly organized, so flashy and complicated. Give me LiveJournal any day! *hugs her warm and snuggly LJ*
I showed her a few of my LJs tonight (pointing out the pics and avoiding the sneezing-related ones). I'm contemplating giving her the URL anyway since she's going off to college and it wouldn't hurt for her to keep up. But it's not like I talk about anything important here anyway. LOL Just ramblings and fannish stuff and the sf. And while I'm sure she'd be weirded out muchly by it, it is the journal I most often update and has normal stuff in it, too. Eh, I dunno. We'll see. Oh, we were having a discussion about exclamation marks and I showed her the 'clearly excited' icon
silverelf made for me. She got a kick out of it (or at least seemed to). *giggles*
But I'm not getting a MySpace. It's all for people needing to make friends or date... and while I wouldn't mind either of those, that's not really what I want out of a blog. I definitely prefer LJ. There's a focus on the CONTENT not all the flashy *snuggles LJ again* Can you tell I've been going a bit icon crazy lately? *snuggles her 63 LJ userpics*
